So I'm looking at double cabs at the minute to use for work but I would also like it to double up as the family wagon for holidays. See the thing is I have 3 pet humans and 1 abiet fairly small pet dog. My youngest is 7 months so in a rear facing seat for a while yet, the middle one is nearly 5 and the oldest 7 so both in booster seats.

The wife has an smax which is fine but it's getting on a bit and I'd like to get her something smaller for day to day, my daily is an 07 plate Octavia vrs (had it over 6 years -best car I've ever owned, proper battle bus!) which would go and the b7 rs4 that sits in the garage will continue to come out for fun much to the wifes dismay 😂

I have about £10-14k (+vat if applicable) to spend but with the current covid19 situation I cant get out to a load to try the seats out in them. My main requirements are for it to have a top box and fit the 3 kids seats across the back.

Would love to hear if anyone has any ideas/ recommendations? I don't actually know if any would fit the bill, the amarok looks like it has 3 decent size seats across the back but pictures can be deceiving!

Thanks in advance

If you want to downside from an smax, don't get a pick up. They are huge! Even so, I doubt you will fit 3 car seats in the rear.

Thanks for replies.

Has anyone had 3 car seats in the back of the Dmax? One I hadn't considered this far! Good shout!

I have a commercial building company so will mostly be for work and being a double cab means I can run it through the company with relevant tax benefits. The mrs just doesn't need something as big as the smax day to day and it makes sense just to have one big one that can do everything!

I've reread your original post and note 2 kids are in booster seats. There could be a chance they will fit after all. Your 7 year old might not need one for much longer too.

Only way you're going to find out, is to try the seats at a dealership.

The D-max has great reviews but I think it's slightly biased for off road. There are other trucks biased for road use.

I considered a D-max but the lack of a dealership and servicing from Isuzu in my area crossed it off my list.
