Shed required - large workhorse

Help required please
We are taking the plunge on an EV as HMG is generously not charging BiK at the moment. Well that's the story, it actually means my wife can have an EV and I can have a impractical fun car...
Anyhow I will be requiring a shed for the usual shed duties - longer range journeys, family trips to the lakes, the tip, building materials etc.
I would prefer something bargey, but this isn't a prerequisite. I can't see myself doing more than 2/3k a year in it if that, so something reliable that won't require much more than a battery charge to keep on top of (beyond regular servicing etc) when it's left sat for a month or two.
My first thought was an A6 Avant, but mainly because A for Audi was at the top of the list on Autotrader.
Is there a list of the usual suspects/recommendations?

A6 Avant was my first thought as well: available at every price point, turn from nice car to huge tip van by dropping the seats and back again when they go back up.
Mine just shrugged off working as a van through a full house restoration. Do NOT buy a multitronic under any circumstances though!
Did like my Legacy wagon as well though - not quite so luxury/hewn-from-granite, but very nearly as big and much more fun to drive.
