Advisorys on potential car

Would anyone buy a car with these advisorys t

The car has lived in a garage so didn't think would have too much rust. But this doesn't seem to be the case. Thanks for any advice.

Taking it at face value it sounds like the suspension is somewhat worn and will probably require work sooner rather than later, but the corrosion will be the thing that could kill the car off.

There's not enough detail though to make a real assessment of what you are asking, is it a £500 banger or a £5000 classic?

The bottom two points about corrosion around the suspension mounting points would cause me to want to dig further into the car before buying, the rest is all fairly easily rectified

Its a banger yes. A 1999 Peugeot 206. Only 42 thousands on clock. Has lived in a garage so I didn't think would have to much corrosion sounds not to the case though.

What is your budget? There's probably better cars than a 21 year old crusty, tired 206 you could be in the market for. Early 206's were not good, later ones were better but I haven't seen one on the roads in a while.

This is by far the most important bit. The rest is cheap bushes and a bit of rust on springs. That corrosion is going to need some attention. Which could mean more attention and more attention...

Best get the car on a ramp and get someone with a bit of knowledge to have a poke about.

Then again, get it MOT'd and it could be a cheap year's motoring.

If it has lived in a normal garage all its life then it has no doubt been put away wet on occasions. As the water has evaporated it will spread nicely & penetrate into all nooks & crannies in the car.
Worst car I ever had was a Ford Escort estate which had been garaged by the elderly owners. Less than 5 years old, very low mileage, rotten as a pear.
On the other hand, advisories are just the opinion of the tester & what one tester will consider an advisory another won't so there may well be little wrong with the car.
Get it checked over by someone that knows what they're doing.

Last MOT was September last year so has the owner done anything about the advisories?

Cheap 21 year old shed. It will have rust issues. My concern would be that this September the MOT will be a fail and not economical to repair. So you would only have it for 3 months. Best move on.

Don't be blinded by that - it never adds much value. Arguably it's a bad thing as not much wear and tear stuff, if any, will have been replaced.

Thanks do garages do pre mots? To seee if it will pass or are you best of just taking it in for an mot and seeing really. Am not viewing this car now. Thanks for the advice.
