What next? ~45k Coupe

Potentially looking for another motor if I decide to sell the Lotus.

My car in question is a V6 Exige but possibly looking for something else. Had a 480 horse S5 prior to that, just looking for something to use everyday as my car is a third car.

Sort of narrowed it down to M2/3/4, C63, RS3 Saloon or RS5. Anybody have any experiences with these? How would the RWD cars get on in Scottish winters with winter tyres?

It depends on what you want the car to do none will handle like you Exige but all are fun now my pick would be the S63 the 5.5 is an absolute beast & the car handles really well, they're next level when it comes to the interior:

All the M's will have to be Comps which one will depend on your personal preferences for me the M3 is the best proportioned in terms of looks etc all are fun although I didn't gel with mine they're good cars.

If you can live with a saloon then I'd find it very hard to look past the Giulia Quadrifoglio

Mate just bought a 69plate M4 Comp for £44k...50miles on the clock. Set of winter wheels and job done.

Unlikely Merc/Audi will be anywhere near similar performing cars on price.

The performance of the Giulia Quadrifoglio is seriously impressive!

I'm not usually a very big fan of an auto gearbox, but I would make an exception in one of those though for sure.

You wouldn't want one in a manual I drove one & it actually detracted from the experience which surprised me, whoever made the decision not to bring it to the UK made the right one.

I hope you’re prepared to suffer incredible depreciation. BMW Used Approved 67 plates are selling for £34k... Not to mention the new model comes out soon.

Absolutely hate the back end and the seats in the S Class and E Class, the C63 Coupe is a much nicer shape IMO.

Comp pack would be a must rather than nice to have on a M3/4

The Alfa is lovely but I'm sure I'd struggle to find somewhere local ish to test drive it. It seems a great alternative to the Beemers

M2 Comp is within budget new(ish). It is a better steer than the M4 IME. It looks better too IMO, but that's subjective.
Fine on winters.

Its definitely an option, for some reason I prefer the Pre Facelift front end though. I drove the first M2 when it first came out and was blown away, only thing that stopped me was the 18 month wait list from BMW..

I got an approved pre LCI 17 M2 on 6k miles for under £30k recently and really pleased with it. Prices rising a little at the moment though.

Jack, where do I send the invoice for the 10% commission on the £15k I just saved you please ?

30k is a steal for the car, wonder how much 'better' the comp pack is on these though.

My track day buddy just got a Comp. It's a bit quicker (did it need to be?), the seats are nicer (they are M3/M4 seats) but the engine doesn't sound quite as good as the "old" engine. Different character too, the power delivery is slightly different. Suspension has been tweaked too but I am not sure the difference is massive. I would be happy with either cars to be honest.
