VED 2020 Query - New Lease

Hi All,

I signed up for a lease in Jan 2020 for a Cupra which was advertised as including the April 2020 VED increase.

I'm now being told that I have to pay an additional fee as they are saying VED has gone up twice but I can't find any evidence of this through a Google search etc. I only see the one increase anywhere I look.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case and where I can find the two increases? Thanks!

There was the usual yearly increase in the cost of each band, but, all news car emissions have been retested to the new WLTP guidelines which will (probably) have put the car up a band or two, some CO2 figures went up by huge amounts resulting in massive VED increases.

Ah that will be it then. Damn, thought it was BS but oh well! Price you pay for leasing a hot hatch I guess! Cheers.
