Comparing a Maserati to an Audi!

Hi all

Currently run a C6 RS6 as a daily. Lovely car and v quick but getting a little long in the tooth now at 120k miles.

Ive been looking for a replacement.....max budget 20k

Brain is saying a twin turbo diesel Audi A7 Black edition - looks lovely, quattro, pretty quick, modern, good economy

Heart keeps me looking at the older shape 2010 model (facelift,) Maserati Quattroporte 4.7 S!!!

I have 2 young kids so space required!

Any views? Is it the Audi all the way? Daily commute just 25 miles

Go with the heart.

The only downside to the QP is the higher than average running costs, but coming from an RS6, shouldn’t be too much of a shock.

Not many cars make you smile every time you use them - the Maserati does.
I have a 2013 Granturismo and the head tells me constantly to sell it but then I drive it.....................................

I'd go for the Maserati everytime the running costs will be a little bit less than the RS6, or if you wanted a middle ground you could get the diesel Quattroporte:

Life's too short.... a late 4.7 S or GTS is a fitting swansong for the model.

Every mile will be an event, even compared to the RS6........And the noise.....oh yes!

I have a 2013 Granturismo which is basically the same car with a bit chopped out of the wheelbase. As long as you a) drive it regularly and b) keep a slush fund for unexpected bits needing replacing, you can’t go wrong. Budget about £2,000 every other year for servicing. Find a reputable Indy to keep it sorted.
Oh, and the indicators work on them, too. 😬

No comparison. Maserati QP all the way. It makes the Audi look like the piece of tawdry bling that it really is.

If you have a bork fund on top then Maserati all the way - a QP has to be one of the coolest 4 doors ever!
