Hi guys, I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I’ve been driving 11 years now and it’s time to buy myself a fun car after owning a 2001 Clio 1.2, 2004 Corsa 1.2, 2004 Mini Cooper and 2006 Audi A4 2.0tdi 170. The mini was by far the most fun car and the Audi the most practical. Looking for some suggestions, here’s the criteria:
Quick
Does 30+ mpg on a motorway run (I do 15k miles a year, most of them business miles)
Leather seats
Sits 4 adults in comfort and fits a bike in the back easily
Doesn’t depreciate horrendously
Petrol

Insurance isn’t too much of an issue now.

I’m currently considering:
Mk7 Golf R
M140i
B8.5 Audi S4
Audi s3 8V
E92 335i m sport

Have I missed anything crucial?

5 door MK2 focus ST with enough change to bolt a big turbo on and money for a couple of holidays left over.

Those i30n options are a good shout, its not a car I’d ever have even thought of. But of those links one has the worst ad I’ve ever seen - no info, and no pics - and the other one isn’t even 2 years old yet and, when sold, will be on it’s 4th owner! Somethings odd there.

What about an Audi S3? I had a 2016 model, sat 4 adults comfortably (provided no one was over 6 foot 2) and good fun to drive. Quite a few circa 30k miles / 2015 or so models for around 18k.

Thats a well priced S3 that...I wonder what it costs to register etc? Do you reckon the S3 is as fun as a Golf R? I'm sure it's a much better car to commute in, but throw in some country roads and the Golf must be the better choice.

They're much of a muchness on the road both are very competent but neither are fun steers I'd be buying an RS/CLA45/A45.
