15 or 16 plate M5 or S6?

Need to replace my A6 Quattro TDi in a month or so.
It’s fast enough at 5 seconds to 60, so wanted something as quick but preferably petrol. The electric boosted exhaust on the tdi is annoying after a while.
Always fancied an M5 but the rear wheel drive after being able to pretty much just stamp on the throttle with the Quattro gives a bit of concern?
S6 seems pretty decent. Possible S8.
Thoughts? Is an M5 rwd for the brave? Also looking at the M6 grand coupe. I tend to buy main dealer so warranty expected.
