Hello PH,

Due to an accident, my car has been written off.

I'm looking at getting into shedding for the next 6-12 months until I decide what to get next.

I've been looking and looking, but now i'ts hurting my brain and I can't pick. Please help...

- Budget - £1500, maybe £2000 for a goodun.

- Preferably diesel.

- 4 doors, estates welcome.

- Lots of legroom.

- Room for x2 kids seats in the back, ISOFIX would be a winner.

Bonjour.

Ah balls you’re 6 days late. Just sold my sister in laws low mileage 5008 Monday for not a zillion miles over your budget. Damn.

Take a look at them or the Citroen equivalent. With the HDi diesel they are decent reliable motors

The two litre maybe, the 1.6HDi is anything but reliable.

Sorry to hear your car has been written off. I can recommend a Mk2 Focus 1.8tdci, I've had mine nearly 2 years and it's great.

Something that a taxi driver chugs along in day after day for 200k miles might be a good shout. If you don't want a MK2 Avensis then maybe a Passat?
