Hyundai i40 vs Honda Civic

Ok, in a fairly large about turn i'm now likely to lease rather than buy for my new job which is likely to involve 25-30k pa.
I've found some decent rates on both of these on maintained leases, so am not looking at other cars.
With the Hyundai its the i40 SE Nav and there is an option of a tourer in manual with the 115 engine or a saloon auto with the 140 engine. Both are well equiped (same level). The tourer is drawing me towards it as it will be far more practical (although the wife has a Tiguan so I don't need the space as such) and have better mpg than the auto. The saloon will be slightly less practical and is a bit more expensive every month, but has the benefit of being a more relaxing drive in traffic etc.
Also avaliable is a Civic 1.6 i-DTEC SR with the manual gearbox. I know this is a class below the i40 in terms of size, but externally when i've seen them they look like a fair size car. It has a similar equipment level for the important stuff (adaptive cruise, android auto etc) but also has lane assist and emergency braking so possibly a bit more safety related tech. Looking at mpg figures it should also be 5-10mpg better than the manual i40 in real life.
It will also sit about halfway between the tourer and saloon for practicality as the boot is as big as the saloon, but seats can go down like the tourer (but not provide as much room admittedly).
I'm slightly nervous that the 115 engine in the tourer might be a bit underpowered, but should be ok for the key function of motorway cruising. To my eyes the interior of the Civic looks nicer, but the i40 has a bit more kit (heated seats etc). Externally the i40 is a bit bland, but on the opposite end of the spectrum the Civic is a bit busy.
Comfortable cruising is key. I have 2 kids but currently have an A3 saloon so all options should have more space. Maintenance/tyres etc are all covered so it is
