Cheap estate choice?

My camper converted Citroen relay has gone wrong for the millionth time so it’s time for a replacement!

I’m working in Germany at the moment and would like to see more of the place so thought something a little comfier/faster than a van would be a nice change. Looking for something with plenty of space that I could sleep in the back for the odd night or two if needs be.

I’m looking at Volvo xc70’s - seems a good choice? Awd, plenty of space etc.
Is there anything better? Budgets about 2k maybe more for the right vehicle...

I’ve found a 55 plate xc70 with 170k on the clock, seems high spec and been very well looked after - £1700! Seems like a handy motor for the money. Anything I should look out for on this model? It’s a 2.4 diesel with an auto box.
