Price Negotiation and personalized plate

Hi all,
I saw a car that I like very much listed from a dealer.
Those car is just a Little more expensive then that I can afford.

The car have a personalized plate, I saw there Is a section of plate for Sale at very high price (in Italy that is not possible).
I have to import the car in Italy so I don't need those plate.

1. What is a "normal" percentage of negotiation that I can propose before appeare as a unelegant guy?
2. It's possible to include the plate in negotiation?

If you don’t want the plate then it is perfectly reasonable to say that to the dealer and they might deduct the “value” of the plate and sell the plate separately. If the plate is not worth a lot then the dealer might not be interested in retaining it.

If you are negotiating the price then it is useful to have copies of advertisements for other cars if you think it is overpriced. There is no set figure and if you are reasonable then nobody should be offended.

I tough that those plate Is plus because the seller mention it with emphasis in advertising.

The plate may already be off the car in question and on the previous owner's new car

they quite often treat the plate as a "Plus" but it depends on the plate.

some are worth 200 some are worth £1m

the chances that if the plate is still on the car it'll be worth £250, issue is with DVLA right now(covid delays) and time it takes to transfer plate to a retention(£80 cost to the dealer) and order new replacement plate(another £30 or so)

so it might just be easier to buy the car with the plate.
