PCP dealer or third party?

You're probably going to hate me for this because I'm sure with enough research I could find out for myself but I'm hoping someone takes pity....
I've been out of the country for years and heading home soon, these PCP deals seem pretty attractive but I'm a little confused as I've only ever bought cars outright before.

1. Is it better to go through a dealer or 3rd party (seems too good to be true sometimes, nationwidevehiclecontracts, carwow etc...
2. if you go 3rd party who deals with it when something goes wrong / needs serviced etc etc? Any experience much appreciated.

If it makes any difference I'm looking at the Skoda Kodiaq Sportline...

It’s a loan (well, a form of hire purchase). Often associated with a “manufacturer contribution” that you don’t get financing elsewhere or if paying cash (but you might get an alternate discount). Go with whomever gives you the best deal overall - but compare with a standard bank loan, lease and paying cash too.

3rd party puts you in contact with a UK Franchised Dealer who deals with ordering, finance and delivery. Your contract is with the dealer/finance company and not the 3rd party

Thanks guys, puts my mind at rest - my biggest concern was if something went wrong i'd be dealing with god knows who in a call center rather than the dealer!
