More dodgy cars, or just more disclosure?
Discussion
Been looking at used stuff on Autotrader. One car is described as Cat C ( not used officially since Oct 2017. )Described as a 6 owner car with 40k showing. Am I just too cynical, or is there an increasing amount of similar stuff out there?. Not talking of the real, under the arches bangers where this is endemic .

If you put an advert on Autotrader and it has a "Cat" flag it automatically appears on your advert, so yes more disclosure seems to be the answer.
Sadly other sites don't do the same so it pays to be careful on eBay, Gumtree, etc.
If a car shows as Cat C that suggests it had it's accident prior to 2017!

IIRC Gumtree does that now and shows CAT status
eBay and Facebook marketplace dont so need to be very cautious
