5-10k Auto hot hatch

Looking for a nice Auto box small hatch (VW golf is too wide for her) for my Mrs (I'll be using it sometimes also). Will probably keep it for a year before upgrading her to something else so something that will not loose too much money.
Mini cooper s >2010
Fiat 595 abarth how is the auto box?
VW polo Gti, any fun to drive?
Audi A1, doubt this is considered a hot hatch

I'd say the Clio RS200 Lux/Lux Nav now no these aren't as sharp as the previous Gen Clio 200 but it is a good steer (better than a Polo/Ibiza etc) & a reliable car too.
