A truthful lease site?
Discussion
Never leased a car, so forgive me for my ignorance please.
I'm looking at leasing sites and they all seem to show cars something like

The HEADLINE figure here is £286.73
In my head, I'm thinking -
£286.73 * 24 + £3440 = 10321.52
Montly cost over the term is £430
So, are there any sites that would promenantly show the £430?

At least the above example included VAT. My regular email stream always leads with something like "New VW Golf Mk 8 - just £199 per month". Well of course when you actually read the email in reality its £2,000 down, £150 admin fee and then 23 x £199 - and everything with VAT added on top.
You can only compare lease deals by adding up the total cost and including the VAT . My current one was £1,200 down and then 23 x £210 inc VAT (no admin fee as from main dealer). So £6,030 over the whole term.

No. Easiest thing to do is change the initial rental to 1 month.
They all do it, advertise a new S line A3 for £289 a month but that’s 9 months upfront, 5k a year for 4 years.
It’s the same price how ever you devide it though.
Most of the time yes but occasionally there are outliers where paying more upfront lowers the overall cost. They all do it, advertise a new S line A3 for £289 a month but that’s 9 months upfront, 5k a year for 4 years.
