Dealership not settling finance.

October 19th I traded my daughters Vauxhall Adam into Glynn Hopkin Dacia Chelmsford.
She bought a new Stepway SE20. All good so far.

Few days later Vauxhall finance ring, no settlement has been paid. 10 days later the same. As of today Vauxhall have issued a default notice against me (who's name the finance was in) & are threatening legal action to recover the debt (understandably). Emails to Dacia have been fobbed off, and dodged, direct questions ignored.

Is this a new trend in the way dealers help the cost of finance ? or is it just this bloke that's totally incompetent ?

Anyone got any ideas about how to proceed?

Incompetence.

Get straight on to their head office.

Call your finance company and ask them what you need to do next, don't ignore them.

First call I made to was to finance company, they advised gettiing Dacia dealer to call them. (hahaha fat chance)

Dacia HQ.. roger that.

There is a slight possibility the garage have sent the payment and the finance company haven't allocated it to your agreement.

That would happen if the garage didn't put the correct ref number on the payment.

Just a maybe.

Glynn Hopkin are a decent bunch.

Is the sales person dealing with you still with the company?

I'm sure they'll blame it on furlough.

But still incompetent, it's important stuff.

Well he was as of 1 week ago. I was quite happy to get the reference and do the legwork with vauxhall. but of course the y wont provide any information as I suspect the payment hasn't been made.
