Right ladies and gents,
Be interesting to get your opinion on the following.
Which of these cars would you have as a daily driver and why?
Currently I have W205 C63 Coupe, but been cathching myself on thoughts of getting rid of it and looking into getting either E90 M3 4 door or B8.5 RS4 Avant.
My reason behind it, is that the other two are half the price of the C63 and do the same job, maybe even better because they aren't as artificial.
Would love to get your thoughts on these cars and which one would you daily and for what reason?

Just changed an F80 M3 for a B8 RS4 avant. Puppy incoming so reassessed priorities and decided a fast estate was the way forward
B8 doesn’t have as sharp steering as the M3 but you can still push on, on the back roads. Really holds the road well as you would expect. Decent spec, with sports pack, sports exhaust and bigger brakes .Sounds excellent in dynamic mode on down shifts etc. C63 probably sounds better
Seat I’m struggling to get comfortable in but if just not driven it enough to find optimum position
Cabin roomy enough and decent sized boot. Pretty happy after first week. I do miss the F80 though
Have you considered one of those over the E90?

Good to hear that you enjoying it, you have any regrets of getting out of F80 or is the RS4 on par with it?

I think the only way I would consider the F80 is, if the price was really low and it would be stupid not to take the deal. No point paying the same money for F80 as I did for my AMG, beats the point.
Only reason I started looking is due to the cars I named being almost half the price of mine and do the same job without depreciating like a falling brick.

Having some regrets but maybe more to do with getting out of a two year old car, still in warranty, into to a 5 year old car with older tech and unknown history. That and my old car which was in San Marino Blue that was stunning!
However build quality is far superior in the Audi. m3 had lots of creaks and rattles from new. Sound is artificial from the exhaust in the M3 but doesn’t sound too bad. Sports exhaust in the RS does sound good when pushing on. Had a spirited drive yesterday and it pushed on well. It didn’t try to kill me. Reminded me more of my E46 M3 which I was confident to push more than the F80.Turn in not as precise as the M3 but I’ll just need to learn how to drive it. First Quattro I’ve had

As I have had M3s couldn’t really step back to an m performance or S model if that makes sense.
Happy with my choice, reduced my car “ debt” by13k, hopefully reduced depreciation and still get to drive an RS4
It’s only done 36k miles so barely run in. 8k of extras so well specced.

I had a sneak peak at them on Autotrader, due to not being able to go out and look, drive one at the moment.My only concern is that daily driving 6.2 V8 would be considered a madness. I know that the engines in the other cars aren't small by any margin but in comparison to 6.2 V8 they seem more reasonable 😂

Love the look of San Marino Blue, the best colour in my opinion. 👌🏾 But at same time I do like the Daytona Grey on Audi as well.However build quality is far superior in the Audi. m3 had lots of creaks and rattles from new. That's the thing, I want to reduce the car "debt" as well. As it's time to start thinking about buying the first property and to put myself in better position as far as mortgage advisors are concerned.
Totally understand the reason behind not wanting M Performance or S car after owning the M3.
Due to same reason I am willing to go older but still keep it to either M, RS or AMG.

They do like a drink, mines on 17mpg since I’ve owned it, got 25 on a run fairly easily, I had a b8.5 s4 and that wasn’t much better! Not sure how accurate the on board computer is though, when your having fun you can see the fuel gage move, but that’s going to be the same for any car that’s been mentioned so far.
As someone who's had an RS4/W204 C63 & who's brother has a sorted E90 M3 I'd say go for the W204 C63 (they're s great car & with a little fettling turn into an epic one) imo it's the best one of the three.
The RS4 was good but lacked a little involvement, the C63 was bombastic & was only sold because the OH's commute got longer & I had my CLK63.
My brothers M3 has been more expensive to run he's had all the issues that can come with owning one but he loves it & when you're really on it it's easily the best of the three but for the over 360 days of the year the 63 is the better car.
With the C63 budget to get it mapped so you get actual full throttle fit an X Pipe & budget for an LSD if the one your buying doesn't have one it makes a big difference to how they drive.
Now there are two very good alternatives that are well worth a look, the first is the IS-F these are very good cars some people say they lack low down torque but they're no (everything feels lacking after a 63 or the 6'2 LS) worse than the RS4 & M3, there is one place you might find them a bit lacking & that's rear legroom which is a bit tighter than the rest.

The other is the VXR8 these are proper drivers cars & like the Lexus above maintenance costs are very sensible compared to the other three the LS lump is a proper rival to the 6.2 AMG most have been well fettled by now so you should be able to find one with the desireable bits already fitted.
Like the Lexus they've pretty much done all of their depreciation so you won't be losing chunks every year either also the VXR8 has the most rear legroom.

Sorry for the late reply, work got really hectic.
All the inputs really made me consider my options more carefully.
I'd agree that ISF or VXR8 could be considered as direct competitors for the cars I mentioned. But, I won't be considering them due to personal preference.
I want to stick with either Audi, BMW or Merc.
I found some nice examples of Audi's and W204 C63 Mercs around me, so as long as the situation allows it I'll be going down and driving them this weekend to weight up pros and cons of those cars.
Staying with W205 is an option but it all depends on what deals are there to be had on the cars that I am looking at.
Haven't found a suitable E90 4 door to see, but I guess that's due to them coming to UK in very limited numbers.
I'll report back when I've driven those cars to give my opinion and get other people opinion as well.

I like all those cars, but i wouldn't swap your current C63 for one, personally.

If it's the latter, then i understand your reason to sell up, especially if you're looking to buy a house with a mortgage. With that being said, the sensible advice for getting on the property ladder as a priority would be you'd be selling up, buying something much cheaper and then getting whatever you want once you've been approved and all moved/settled in, etc.

OP how did the test drives go?
My RS4 is gone already!! Issue with the suspension, read all the horror stories so was able to reject the car!
Despite what I said about S models got into an S4 Avant as a stop gap until I can find something else
Not the best looking car but very capable. Sounds pretty decent, better than the F80.
