I have been looking for a new car for months. The journey started with a Brera 3.2 V6 in June. I was close to buying but travelled 3.5 hours to be disappointed by a terrible description of condition.

I really wanted a petrol, wanted it to be quick-ish, didnt want to be completely burnt out on economy with something obscenely big. Thought about a 640d (I know its diesel) then a 350 CGI e or c class coupe. But the whole time I was pretty keen on the TTS. Let's hope this journey is not wasted!

Best of luck, hope it turns out to be a good one.

From your previous threads there's not much love for the Audi but I'm glad you've stuck with it. They're small, fast and look great imo so what's not to like?

Latest model?
If so, they are fantastic cars and plenty quick!

It's a MK II and a cracking deal I think. Grinning ear to ear on the way home. I'll post some photos.

Yep, I was getting non essential travel mixed up so deleted it - of course a car is essential, silly me, glad it worked out for the OP, a long trip.

Great news, and the car looks pretty impressive too. thumbup

Last December I did a 3 hour trip to look at my current weekend fun car - for the right car it's well worth it!

Thanks folks! I'm very much over the moon with the car and its drive, it's such a big step up from the C220 CDI with 180k miles from 2005 biglaugh

More photos to follow at some point when I make some subtle changes that I would like to.

Drove it into work today and just wanted to drive past and keep going!

Not wanting to labour the point too much but.....

You do realise that "essential" is of zero relevance. All that is needed (until the end of today - until next time) is a "reasonable excuse". Buying a car is a reasonable excuse.
