R56 Mini Cooper 2009 - fuel injector noise - help please

Hi all

I am looking at buying a 2009 R56 Cooper. Its 83,000 miles and the timing chain tensioner and water pump have recently been replaced so that's good.

But the tickover is very loud and after looking at it carefully - its noisy fuel injectors (and not the hydraulic lifters/tappets)

Is this normal and okay or do I need to walk away? Car drives really well and the engine is sweet. Full service history and mostly female owners

They'll need pulling out & resealing if the sellers prepared to drop the price to cover this then it may be worth a punt but it's a Mini there are loads out there.

ah thanks - is that expensive to do? And what can go wrong if I do nothing? Its very annoying as its a great car otherwise

I don't know the cost, call a Mini specialist to get an idea on price.
