What shall I shall change one of my cars for? £5k budget
Discussion
Hi,
I've got a nice original low mileage Corrado 16v (86k). It needed light resto and I'm getting it into tip top condition. I've also got a restored VR6 Corrado, a 1 owner MK2 Golf GTi also undergoing restoration and a couple of more modern dailys.
As much as I love the Corrado I don't need two of them and can't help but think I am missing out so need some inspiration on what else I could get for the money. Budget is less thatn £5k and it needs to be fairly interesting/unqiue. Must be manual. Age doesn't matter as it's just a fun car and actually although I normally look for 4 seats for family friendly-ness I guess it could be a 2 seater (but would prefer 4 so it can be used for the school run). I don't really want another restoration project; light resto fine but not a full respray and rebuild type job as done that with the vr6 and currently with the gti. I don't care about mileage usually (my other cars all have north of 150k).
I like VWs (dailys are VAG too) but realise I need to spice things up a bit so would like something from some other brand. I know I could sell everything and buy 1 special car but I like variety and also like working on them myself. I need help as all I am coming up with on my own is a mk5 R32 or a mk3 VR6/16v.
Cheers

Yeah maybe an EP3. Interesting engine and looks quite nice.
I've done a search on PH classifieds and also come with a Subaru Impreza, Mini Cooper S and a Porsche Boxster. They're okay but would imagine the Mini being a pita to work on being so small / cramped.
I had thought there might be larger selection tbh.
Fiat Coupe? Alfa GTV? What else is there like that.

Are you mainly after oddities so estate Barge Convertible still ok? It's quite a broad ask otherwise...
Maybe actually, I think it is the rare/odditiy/don't see many of those is what I like the most. I do already have an estate but an E34 Touring could be a nice place to be. If it has an interesting engine (more than 6 cylinders) I could go that way. I suppose I have a 80s hot hatch, a 90s coupe, a modern estate and modern hatch (another Golf as well ha) so something else that is different to what I have could be good way to look at solving it.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
