3 very different choices

Hi all
Due to reduced mileage I'm thinking of closing out the PCP on my abarth and getting something I can buy outright, with 2 kids and 2 dogs I need something bigger anyway and would like some performance still.
So, I've only got a modest budget and looking at 3 very different cars.
I'm £500 upside down on the PCP which means a budget of around £4.5k
I've narrowed my choices down to:
1, Volvo V70 t5 (would be around a 2004 based on budget)
2, Skoda Octavia vrs (petrol) (would be around a 2006 based on budget)
3, Impreza WRX wagon (would be around a 2003 and an import)

All would be auto and would be my daily, 20 min commute but does include town and motorway.

Which would you recommend ?

Out of those 3 I think the VRS would be the cheaper option to maintain and a very good owners network and a good car.

The VRS is the pick of the three but imo these two are better options than the VRS:

Thanks for the replies, sounds like the vrs is a safer choice and given that a vrs would be newer it might be another reason to go for the vrs.
I have however found that I could import an Impreza within budget so condition would be good.
I hadn't looked at the Mondeo tbh, however having looked at the specs on those 2.0s I remembered the 2.5t which seems to take the performance up a notch, had a quick look but the few 2.5s seem to be manual, however... I might be tempted to go manual as those Mondeo's do look good.

Hi the Impreza wagon isn't that big inside, a legacy spec b or forester would be a better option if you wanted a subaru, but you may need to up your budget a bit.

^ Yes, I would definitely recommend you consider a Forester over the Impreza. A decent uk one would also save you £££ on insurance as imports are quite expensive to cover.

Otherwise the Mazda 6 estate is a good shout - newer and lower miles too!

The 2.5T came in manual only & the 2.0T is dual clutch only, there aren't many 2.5T's for sale but go for the Titanium X models.

You would get a lot of Saab 9-5 estate for your money. I buy older ones, so would get 5 of them fir your budget.
Superbly comfortable seats, good auto box, loads of extras included, Do get the leather seats option.
Everyone raves about the Aero (higher pressure turbo) but the 2.3 low pressure turbo is remarkably brisk overtaking. Personally I prefer the petrol cars. You will still get close to 40 mpg on a decent motorway trip.
