Replacement windscreen needed for leased jag
Discussion
Wife’s heated windscreen took a hit from a stone from passing car on opposite carriageway this morning
Just a small chip so Continued driving to work with out incident. (E-pace dynamic)
Massive crack now after cooling and warming during the day, so needs a replacement.
As the car is leased we are concerned that the replacement glass will be a pattern part rather than official oem
(Has a baby jag image embedded/etched in the glass)
Excess is 95 quid but becomes £295.00 if we don’t use LV recommended partner...
Has anyone experienced grief from lease company for using not Oem glass, every thread I have found here seems to be about chip/repairs?

If your insurance company has multiple windscreen replacement partners, speak with all of them and ask for OEM replacement. Emphasize any special features however small and express concern a pattern part might not work as well. Worked for me last year - Autoglass said they couldn't source OEM due to lockdown but National Windscreens managed to get one for me. Worst they can do is say no.
