Job change, 15k, need some space and ground clearance...
Discussion
Hi all. Looking for some advice from the PH masses as I'm facing a pretty drastic car change. Currently in an M140i, and love it to pieces. Job has now changed to needing something that will do 20 - 25k a year, have some ground clearance and hopefully not financially ruin me to run.
I don't necessarily need 4wd as it's much more on road miles, I just need something with a bit of ground clearance for getting in and out of sites etc. Nothing fwd and some good tyres can't handle (hopefully!)
Reasonable size boot is pretty much essential, so far I've looked at octavia scouts, volvo xc70s, xc60s, etc.
Budget is around the 15k mark, preferably something not too horrendous to run as if it's going to be a boring tool I'd rather it not cost a fortune to run if possible.
Has to be under 10 years old for work allowance, ideally nothing that I'll have to replace next year!
Thanks in advance!

I would say for your needs an SUV seems to tick the boxes & three makes in particular will give you good low mileage cars with good spec comfortable sensible (cheaper than the Allroad) & decent age too.
Ford Edge

Infiniti QX50 GT Premium these are a very nice place to while away 25k loaded with spec & a step up in terms of quality.

So you can see what it looks like the one above is the pick as long as it's in (35k!) good condition.
