Ok, so slightly unusual request. I am looking to rent a 2018+ RS4 for 3-6 months, possibly longer. Not looking to buy and not wanting tied into a 24 month lease which seems to be the industry minimum. Stay near Glasgow, don’t mind arranging collection/return. I would arrange insurance etc.

Any budget in mind?

What else is one to do but dream? There are peer-to-peer companies doing this type of thing. Maybe there’s a cheeky RS4 owner who isn’t using the car much and fancies some extra income...I will continue dreaming...and then realise it is futile and just go lease one for 2 years...

Buy one then sell it. Its your only real option.
You could try hire car companies but it will be stupidly expensive.

I’d worry about not being able to sell, particularly in current economic climate.

Here’s one for sale near you:

19 plate and only three previous owners too. Might be worth chancing it and seeing if the owner would rent it to you before selling. Best of luck.

I suspect most owners would kindly tell you to F.O. as there are too many variables that could come back to haunt them after you've had your fun, as it could be the last time they see the car...

If you have the means to buy it, then I would talk to a dealer about the options of a guaranteed buy back later on. There is a chance they could make the numbers work for them, at an amount that doesn't sting your wallet too much.
