Hi All,
My wife has stumped me with her request to replace her 2007 Auto Suzuki Swift. I have to satisfy the following criteria:

1) £6000 budget
2) Automatic
3) 0 - 62mph in sub 10 seconds
4) Have a good stereo system with an infotainment screen
5) Cannot be older than 2009
6) She prefers hatchback or SUV

I certainly cannot find such a car, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Fiat 500 abarth with a new headunit

Seat Ibiza/polo/fabia with the 1.4TSI engine or 1.8 later models, some have touchscreen head units

Audi A1 with the 2.0 engine?

Alfa mito (same engine as the 500) again might have to push buget to get one with a head unit

Something is going to have to give, the stereo isn't so much of an issue because you can always go aftermarket, the problem is 0-60 under 10 seconds will rule out most supermini's, if you can find something under 10 seconds it will be over 6k.

The only car i think gets close is a Nissan leaf but you may need to up the budget a little.

A Prius?

We have just got an Auris Hybrid (2017 so more than your budget) and my OH loves it.

I use it a fair bit too because it keeps the miles off my C63. I really like it.

Mk6 DSG Golf 1.4TSI, 9.5 seconds to 60, and stick an RCD330 in it, then you have Carplay:

The first Golf only has 2 service stamps ... it also has the DSG box that is probably best avoided.

Was just trying to provide examples, not suggesting he should buy one of those specifically.

A Nissan Murano can be had for less than 6k. It will do 0 to 60 in well under 10 seconds. There was an option of a Bose system for entertainment . It’s a 3.5 litre V6 petrol though and they gobble fuel. You will be lucky to get 25 mpg out of one.
