Semi Sensible second car recommendations
Discussion
Long time lurker. You're a very helpful and knowledgable bunch.
We're in a lucky situation where we get new car every 6 months through my brother's company lease plan. So we are using this as our family car and my wife's car to work. We're only allowed one, otherwise I'd be after the new Octavia vRS.
I work from home so my need for another car is not that significant but it is needed for running a toddler to places when the wife is working. Oh.. and when I go and play golf and they need the family car. Most journeys are 6-8 mile round trips.
So for a second car I need something with large boot space for the golf clubs and trolley, 4/5 doors for the car seat convenience, and preferably no more than 7 or 8 years old, although if it's particularly reliable model I can be flexible with the age.
My previous cars have included the vRS 245bhp and Audi TT 225bhp and I'd love a car with the practicality needed above and a quality interior (not keen on Ford/Renault type interiors)
Budget is flexible. £9-12k is ideal. However would go to £15k for something special that ticks all the boxes including a bit of performance.
Mileage I'll be doing is very low. Talking 200miles month, mostly short journeys with the occasional weekly 20mile journey.
Any hints what I should be looking at? I was looking at A3 saloon types, but the M135i also caught my eye.

Some lovely choices there guys.
As much as the XK is beautiful car, I just can't go with a 2dr right now. It'll be a while before the little one is out of a car seat.
With my brother a technician for VW group, the A5 Sportback looks the favourable choice, but that Hyundai is just stunning. I wonder what repair costs would be like for that beauty.
Appreciate the time and effort you'e both given me. Some food for thought!

Maintenance cost (there's set price menu servicing & you can buy a service package) are actually cheaper than the Audi, you can also extend the warranty on the Hyundai so don't let that put you off.As much as the XK is beautiful car, I just can't go with a 2dr right now.
