Exporting a EU car outside of EU via the UK

Hi all,

I live in the UK and have a car in continental EU that I’m looking to export outside the EU via a UK dealer. The car will be picked up by a transporter to be brought to the the UK and then shipped out from Southampton.

I’m wondering what paperwork is likely to be requested at the border when the car is brought into the UK since it will be under my name and I won’t be with the car? And then when it is eventually shipped out what paperwork will be needed?
