Hello. I wrote about a week ago here saying I was shifting my RRS in favour of cheaper motoring. Budget creep plus a full Saturday at the man maths chalkboard and I’ve moved my budget to 25k. But I still can’t seem to find anything under these requirements:

- 66 reg onwards (pcp life)
- an SUV or estate (would consider a hatchback though as I like the 17- S3) but it’s only me the mrs and a Doberman
- nothing generic.
- prefer petrol but not a deal breaker.

I like the X5 40e but I can’t find any in my budget. Same issue with a Merc C43.

I do love the Stelvio. I did consider it a while ago but the mrs wasn’t about it. She is quite easily ignored though.

Thanks for the suggestion. Generic would be something like a qashqai

Thanks ZX10. I love the Porsche and the SQ5 but they’re older than 2016 :-(

That GLC250 is rather nice. Non essential retail doesn’t open until 12 April so a test drive is off the cards which makes this really hard.

Selling my wife’s Volvo V90CC ‘66 plate with 43k miles, £17k.

Great car: pano roof, heated seats, steering wheel, auto drive, adaptive cruise etc.

Only selling it because we are going back to a full size XC90.

I would thoroughly recommend them.

The GLC's are nice they ride well too, I missed the 2016 requirement.

We have 67 plate S3, and the Mrs is moaning at me about getting something bigger since the boot is fairly small.
I had a look around her brothers new Tiguan last week and that seams slightly bigger, so I am considering chopping the S3 for Seat version of the Tiguan with the S3 engine.

The Cupra Ateca? Or the Formentor? I love the Ateca but slightly out of budget.

Thanks. The X5 is private and I’m not a cash buyer. I love the Stelvio (the third one as red seats are a no from me). I’ve just enquired about that Jaguar as I love that. Thank you.

was about the suggest the same - truly cavernous boot, heated rear seats and (on some estate models) panoramic roof

I was looking at the Ateca at around 30k.
Seat Dundee have a couple for sale at around that price. These are around a year old so don’t know if you can get an older 1 cheaper.

If you like the look of the GLC, then might be worth considering the 350d version - I have a 350d Premium Plus and although diesel, the engine is very smooth being a v6 and performance is much better too. It’s a great all rounder and would be within your budget.
