Slk 2013 r172 any experience?

Im looking at an slk on sunday morning, its a 2013 and clean with low 50s mileage. Ticks all the boxes. Anyone got any experience of them what to look for other than usual checks, seen a lot about leaking roofs but i guess treat the rubbers and it should be ok. Seem a lot fo car for £11k

No direct experience myself but looking at ones a few years older at 2008/2009....rust and subframes have been mentioned. Also SLK world as a forum to venture to which il be researching nearer the time

My Mrs had one for the last 3 years, just sold it with relief.

We had a 13 plate 250 petrol, noisy engine, rattly roof, banging rear suspension, leaky roof. This was on a 22k mile car.

I’d avoid the AMG line version which could have an effect on some of the above.

I had a 62 plate for a few years, no issues whatsoever and in my opinion they are such good value (cheap!) for what they are.

My wife has an 07 plate SLK200k, 66k miles - has been a model of reliability, decent drive too considering its fairly humble mechanicals.
Will be for sale soon, being replaced by something with 5 doors.

Great cars for little money, relatively speaking.
