Honda Jazz Auto. Any Good

Pretty much as the title - Does anyone have any experience, either good or bad of a Jazz auto. I'm looking for a non German auto box.
This is a bit of a problem, as probably, the best auto box is the BMW. But I don't want a German product, because, well, because it comes wrapped in German wiring and complexity.
So what about the Honda?

Or any recommendations for any other decent autos.

Anything in shed budget would be considered acceptable.

They're sound if you keep to the standard CVT autobox, the i-shift branded unit between 2009-2011 is fairly reliable but quite jerky.

Astra Elite normal torque converter auto with a 1.8 N/A they don't go wrong & are sensible to maintain.

The Mark 1 CVT is pretty good, the Mark 2 i-Shift has poor feedback as mentioned, the Mark 3 is back to a conventional CVT, but slow as hell and the CVT is exceptionally noisy.

The Mark 1 CVT is the choice.

We've an 08 1.4 CVT Jazz; was my wife's Nana's but when she gave up driving; she gave it to my wife as her Focus, although running well, was starting to cost as much as it was worth, yearly to maintain etc

It had only done 12k miles, it's now done c23k IIRC and we've had it since 2016...

Can't pull skin off rice puddin' mind; but it goes and gets up to speed and will do 70-80 on the motorway without worry. It's also a tardis inside with the rear seats flat; amazing what you can get in 'em

I can fit in it too and that's saying a lot!

It's been faultless; it's had the usual yearly oil changes, plugs done every 2 years for peace of mind (only does low miles) and it's had the box fluid changed via Honda as there was a recall which they honoured (slight vibrations when setting off); not a guarantee to cure, but made it hell of a lot better

Nice, I quite like the Astra H - have a few, though normally 1.7 diesel. Now, to find a good runner, in immaculate condition for £500.

The mk2 changed back to a proper CVT when facelifted in 2012.
