Advice for £30k fun car
Discussion
I don't know much about cars and my head is spinning after reading so many reviews, hoping to lean on experience here.
Attractive and fun to drive, my only car driving roughly £8k miles PA, 2 seater fine but need space for 2 large luggage bags, £30k budget. Live in UK but would love a convertible but storage space on them seems so limited I might have to give that up. Really like Boxster but painfully limited storage.
Any advice appreciated.

Boxster and painfully limited ??? Think you should check out the size of the frunk and boot , you can get an awful lot in both , the front is like a tardis the boot will take a large soft bag , unless you’re off for 4 weeks and want an outfit change every night you will be fine.
If you want small get an Elise

I can get 4 carry-on suitcases & 2 backpacks with room to spare in my Cayman. If it absolutely has to be a convertible a Boxster is the car to beat at your budget. Be warned, the servicing costs are eye watering. I'd also say getting an OPC car gives you some piece of mind as you get a warranty.
I will say that after 10 years of drop top ownership I didn't miss ditching it for a coupe.
You can find Convertible M4's within budget and smaller engined Z4's.
Best of luck!

Aston Martin V8 Vantage. If I had £30k to spend on a car, that’s what I would have. They are beautiful, sound epic and from what I’ve seen good to drive - although probably not as much fun as a Boxster, but a lot more special.
I agree about the Aston being more special. I test drove one from Motorserve in Brum last December, I think it is still for sale today, for just under £30k. The noise and experience is excellent, the gearbox very mechanical, but felt good. Anyway, I didn't buy it in the end, I had a Boxster at the time and now I drive a BMW. OP your best bet, go an test drive all the cars mentioned and more. Take as much time as you need
Boxster all day. The servicing costs may be high but not as high as a V8V, and that needs an additional brave pill at £30k.
As for luggage-follow the principle that you need to pack based on the space available, rather than buy a car based on the amount of lotions and potions the wife wants to bring along ;-)
