Hello all

i can now perm wfh so decided to sell my current car where i can make exactly what i paid for it over a year ago.

criteria for new

-wont break if 70-100k miles
-automatic
-as its a downgrade being comfortable would be best (5 series, something like that)
-doesnt look too outdated?
-min 2 litre ideally

current options have been 520 and the rare 530d
not sure what else can beat the above

thanks

Lexus GS of some sort? Look good and a far better reliability reputation than BMW etc.

You're WFH but want to buy a motorway mile-muncher?

Am I missing something?

just a downgrade for now smile i pay £500 a month atm for the car / tax / insurance per month, not worth it to sit there as it is.

Infiniti Q70 2.1d 170 Premium spec that'll make a 5 series weep & with the same drivetrain as an E220d, the cherry on top is that it ULEZ/CAZ compliant too.

Or in 3.5h Premium (you get adaptive cruise) Tech form

Or if you're happy with a non compliant diesel the M30d GT adds the smooth V6d & all the spec above & the BOSE stereo upgrade:

On looks the BMW is more stylish apart from that if you want a motorway muncher these are very to beat.

Along similar practical saloon type lines but more fun, I had a C55 AMG. E55 is bigger and more refined.
