Buying through ltd (electric)
Discussion
Appreciate may need accountants firm view but lots of similar situations here I'm sure.
Is there still a massive benefit to buying an EV through a ltd company? And is there any difference if I'm a non-salaried director only (family business)?
Also, what's the views on an EV being the only car in the house? Mostly used for short journeys, but maybe an annual road trip somewhere. What worries me is reliability and forgetting to charge, meaning we are stuck for a few hours compared to 10 mins to the nearest petrol station.
Alternative is hybrid but they're being penalised, worse BIK and being near greater London, costs to drive anywhere!

Thanks.
Is the 1%/2% tax the annual rate set throughout the life of owning the car (based on the rules at the time of car purchase) or could change every year depending on HMRC's rules?
i.e. is it 1% this year, but HMRC could announce it's normal income tax rates from next tax year? that leaves a lot of uncertainty...
