Are you talking about the newer model or first gen ones?

I’m also curious to know about the first gen ones as I might get one for my motorway commute. The main thing that I’ve heard is to make sure to get the oil pickup seal replaced as otherwise you can end up quite easily with low oil pressure.

No idea but I drove these and Mondeo’s of similar age as company cars. I found the mondeo’s a lot nicer to drive if that matters.

If ULEZ is not a factor, then consider a last of the line Mondeo Mark 4.5 Titanium X as an alternative. these went up to 2014 and the "eco" models are £30 a year to tax for the 2.0TDCi.

They're decent reliable cars & you can buy a decent mileage/spec ULEZ/CAZ compliant one for sensible money:

I have a 2012 2.0 CDTI for my motorway mile muncher. Its been reliable but you need to check a few things.

The main issue is oil seal pickup. This is a massive issue with the first gens. It's really common but vauxhall refuse to accept its a thing and will not recall the cars. It can be a very costly repair unless you know the right place to get it fixed. There's various places up and down the country ranging from £250-£500 for it to be replaced.
This issue doesn't happen with any models that's late 2013 model so 63 plate which is the face-lift first gens.

Another thing is egr and dpf if you don't do much motorway driving. Of course you're doing motorway driving so it'll be fine as long as you do a long enough journey.

I have a VX Line SRI has some nice bits and bobs on it but I believe the Elite is the top spec. Has the lot but I could be wrong.

Another thing is be prepared for £100+ for a tyre if its got 19" alloys. Avoid the autos as well as they tend to be crap.

Otherwise I love mine and can't fault it. It's comfy, relaxing, does decent mileage (48mpg) considering the types of driving I do. The boot is huge which is the main reason I bought the car as it can easily fit a pram in it with a load of shopping.

If you get one please shop around as there's a lot of crap ones. 100% get one with full service history and has been looked after. Pay a decent price for one, not these £1500 bargains.
