Boring family crossovers around the £10k mark
Discussion
I currently have an 18plate Golf GTI, and due to ridiculous 2nd hand values WBAC are currently offering £24k for it, up from £18k last December. Meanwhile my wife drives around in an 05 plate crap wagon Ford Cmax, so I'm CONSIDERING selling the Golf and splitting the money across two cars, the idea being we get rid of 'his & hers' and buy a big car and a small car, and drive whichever one is needed for the task at hand. In reality my wife will end up in the bigger car 90% of the time, as she's most likely to be driving the kids around. I've gotten used to certain toys on the Golf, so there's some things any replacement would require. So, requirements:
Decent sized boot
Comfy
Cruise control
Parking sensors, ideally rev camera
Bluetooth
Climate control
Not fussed about things like electric seats (I actually prefer manual adjustment), or Satnav (Google Maps is better than 99% of Satnavs over a few years old). So the list includes the usual suspects, all around 2014-2016 plate, 80k miles:
Ford Kuga
Honda CRV
Hyundai Tuscon
Kia Sportage
Mazda CX5
Nissan Qashqai
Toyota Rav4
Anything else worth looking at? Anything recommendations? Anything to avoid? Or is it a case of "They're all the same, they're all boring family wagons, just pick any".

Back on budget:
Petrol

Or the bigger FX which adds air cooled seats & more space into the mix, all are CAZ/ULEZ compliant too:

They're also a level of fit & finish well above what you're looking at & will make a nice family car.

I don't think I could stomach the £600 tax bill on those, it was rough enough paying that on my VXR8, nevermind a family crossover. You're right though, they do look a cut above the usual suspects.
From the list above I find myself drawn to the Mazda CX5, although the ones in budget tend to have quite high miles.

Dacia Dusters seem to get a lot of love on here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
just done this and ended up in an 2011 Audi Q5 (a car I wasnt really aware of till now)
had it 2 weeks really chuffed, loads of kit, massive boot with movable rear seats, corners flatter then it has any right to and doesn't look that old !
I had a 10k budget and spent 9, cars got 70k and FASH - recommended

The QX50, are £340 road tax, look for an earlier EX to get one on budget:From the list above I find myself drawn to the Mazda CX5, although the ones in budget tend to have quite high miles.

From your list it would be the Ford Kuga in Titanium X 160 Spec:

Is there any reason you want a crossover instead of an estate? Something like a V90 R Design looks superb and I’d say more practical than most crossovers.
Sorry I saw your budget after posting. Insignia estate, Octavia, Superb, V60, V70 maybe instead

Skoda Yeti
They seem to be holding their value, slightly annoyingly. There are a lot of diesel and/or auto Yetis you have to wade through. £10 k might net you a petrol Yeti circa 2017 with 40k + miles on the clock.Boring £10k family crossover sounds like a Seat Arona or similar.
