The Adaptive cruise may be the hard one to find, for me at your price point I'd say the Infiniti range will tick every (add lane assist Air cooled seats 360 cameras etc) box but adaptive is the harder part, they're also ULEZ/Caz compliant too:

Q50 Sport Tech

Q70 Premium

Golf GTD also ULEZ compliant & adaptive but with higher miles:

It's hard to argue with the Infiniti's (just don't bother with the q30 though)...
There's a choice of Volvo's...hatch, saloon, estate, also Mazda's & Honda's, and if you don't fancy going Japanese (obviously Volvo aren't...) how about a Skoda Octavia...

What with used prices at all time high, £10k gets you a bloody nice big chunk of reliable well specced & economical Jap cruiser barge doesn't it?

I ran a Superb for 3 years and over 100k, reliable, comfy, adaptive cruise and look pretty good.

My choice would be a Golf GTD (DSG)

Fast enough to put a smile on your face on the right B road, comfortable when you need to cruise, great on Juice and comes with Adaptive cruise.

Q70 looks very nice for the money, do they have adaptive cruise? Like the GTD as well but I imagine the NVH isn't as good as the Q70?

Octavia looks fine for the job although I've read that the NVH isn't particularly good for the motorway?

Looks good to me, but will it put another 100k on it with just service and general maintenance?

I think all Volvos since 2015 have come with the option of adaptive cruise...(look for 2 buttons at the top of the left hand spoke of the steering wheel)

Yup can vouch for best seats in the business, and I sold my SAAB for a Volvo, and the seats are just as epic as they were in my SAAB.

Look at a 5 cylinder diesel, wafty old thing.

They do but not on every car cruise is standard but you have(Premium Tech's have it as standard but on Premiums it'll depend o if the first owner ticked the box) to check on each car, yes the NVH & build quality is a clear step ahead of the Golf.

Looking at the options, I really like the superb estate SEL but the Q70 looks really good value.

What do people think about NVH and general differences between the two?

Those Infiniti's with the 2.2d engines are using the Mercedes OM651 4 cylinder diesel engine that is very clattery and noisy, read some of the buyer reviews on autotrader. The diesel engines in these were a bit of an afterthought as they were primarily built for American and Asian markets where the petrol and hybrid versions dominate.

The NVH is leagues above on the Infiniti as they were aimed at a different market to the Superb the drivetrain on the Infiniti is Mercedes & in general is the smoother out of the two engines, you'll hear less from the Infiniti than you will from the Skoda.

Also the Infiniti has a conventional auto which for me (even though my daily dual clutch gearbox has been faultless) also gives it the nod.

So simply put the Skoda wouldn't get a look in.
