I want a pick up to carry a motorbike in (I already have a van)

I used to own a P100 2 litre RWD and that was perfect but they're all rotten and rebuilt ones are silly prices

Subaru Brats are all rotten / too expensive
Modern Caddy / Skoda Felicia, 2WD Ranger / Hilux are all possibles but diesel only

Jumbuck seems ideal if a bit slow but they all seem rotten too

Any other suggestions, I'm happy to have something older?

I don't want a 4WD nor a crewcab as I want something small and light that is a bit of fun to hustle along

They won't be petrol but these two are the picks.

Ford Ranger with the 2.5d 140 engine:

Can you find a cheap US pickup? The vast majority of pickups will be diesel

I was chatting to guy a few weeks ago that had imported a Datsun 120Y pickup, it was very tidy, unusual, slightly over budget maybe (I can't remember how much he paid for it, but it didn't cost the earth)

Yes Ranger is the obvious choice if I go diesel although I think I'd have the earlier one.

Had Ram / F150 in the past but I wanted nimble this time

I've seen the old jap imports but they tend to go for £7-10k on ebay
