Any pointers on with these, After a 2.0t which will be the 2013 facelift I believe.
Never owned a BMW but did a mini with run flats and i had to remove them. Any recommendation's on doing the same.
Any options to look out for
.
Possibly may go for a light remap at some point If reliable enough.
Any advice would be great.
Cheers

I've got a 3.0 E89 and have replaced the runflats with Pilot Sport 4S on all 4 corners. Tbf when I got the car it had runflats on the front and 'Jinyu' awful winter crap on the back which were borderline dangerous in any conditions. The ride is now much better, more compliant and there's bags of grip even in the wet.
Just be careful who you ask to swap the runflats. Tyres On The Drive (Halfords basically) refused, telling me I'd damage the wheel bearings with anything other than runflats so I had to get a refund and take it to my local wheels place round the corner for an extra £20.
Mine's a manual, no nav (which I prefer as the cabin dates less if you ask me), but I think it has the extended leather which gives a much better finish to the dash. Best mod I did was a steering wheel refurb from Royal, they did an awesome job and I had the flat-bottom mod carried out too. They're great cars, just be prepared for 'hairdresser car' (yawn) comments.
i currently have a 2009 e89 35i DCT which has the runflats - i would recommend changing them as a priority. The ride is firm at the best of times, the RFs make it more crashy than should be allowed, IMO.
Only reason i haven't changed then is because the car is up for sale - kept meaning to do it but it hurts my soul to replace tyres which still have usable tread

I had a 2010 e89 2.0 30i. I really miss it. I added a smarttop module so you could control the roof better and it added a few other features (mirrors fold on lock?). I think later models had better roof controls anyway. I forget which wheels I had but the other type were prone to cracking. I always regretted not getting 35.
Ffs tried edit and quoted myself instead.cheers all, went to see a 28i at a dealer yesterday and bloody lovely. I was considering a mk3.5/3.75 mx5 but for a few grand more or the same actualy the z4 seems quite a different league build wise. The ND is top of or above my budget and id prefer a later model and again the build quality is a win for bmw. the ND will win on fun but want the z4 to be a gt car as well.
how long does it take to get used to the long front end driving wise. Never thought id need front parking sensors but being short the is 2ft of bonnet after the drop off
few more pounds to save but its my 40th next year so seems like a decent gift to myself. ill get a 20i. the 28i is about 3k more for a remap. could say the same about the 18i but they do look more poverty spec from what ive seen.

I think front parking sensors were an option on the E89 Z4, but I've only had E86s that didn't have them. It takes some readjustment but then I had a couple of Ford Capris in the 80s with a similar problem!how long does it take to get used to the long front end driving wise. The 18i, 20i and 28i all had the same engine just mapped differently, although the 28i had bigger front brakes.
And the 20i and 28i were more likely to have desirable options than the base model 18i.
Daft question maybe, but have you considered a straight 6? 23i or better still 30i.
Good luck anyway.

I still haven't got used to it after 3 years when parking it, no parking sensors on mine so it's always hanging out of parking spaces.....how long does it take to get used to the long front end driving wise. budget will be up to 15k maybe but preferably around 12.
yes considered the 6's but that would mean a 9/10 plate over a 12/13. never say never though.
the the burst orange models. guessing pretty rare ?
My 2009 plate 35i DCT with 77k miles is going up for around £10k when i eventually pull my finger out - deep sea blue with ivory leather - 306hp standard but with a simple map will get you to 380. - nav has been updated with 2020 maps, new front discs/pads, full service including brake fluid flush and change less than 3 months ago and 10months MOT..yes considered the 6's but that would mean a 9/10 plate over a 12/13. never say never though.

if you fancied an older, but more powerful one
