Anyone here have recent experience selling a car to WBAC?

I have a question about settlement.

The car we are selling has a finance outstanding but a healthy equity.

I know the finance is settled in about a week, my question is the return of the equity….. how long do they take?

There will be about 5k coming back, which we need for the deposit on the new car.

Will they transfer that immediately or will it also take a week or so?

Thanks.

IIRC you can have it the same day for around £30 if you want as well.

Did this a while back.

Money was in the bank the next day (at a small cost, forget exactly how much).

Thanks.

Car market is crackers. We would have struggled to get 9k six months ago, selling now for 12,500

(Ford Focus ST diesel).

Biggest thing is just be 100% straight about the condition and be ready there and then.

Sold to them twice both £15-20K cars and not sheds and give or take £100 I got what the website said.

Apologies if you know that but both times I sold to them I literally walked home to avoid giving them time to change their minds!

I found them pretty easy to deal with, they have a fetish for stone chips and check the panel alignment and of course the wheels but they barely looked at the interior in fact they didn't at all. They paid just over 30k for my 69 plate gti.

I was very pleased.

Sale amount already agreed and locked in. Car rated as A1 condition despite being 6 years old. Amazingly it has no stone chips on the bonnet despite 67k miles

He was astounded the alloys were perfect, despite it being my wife’s car. He actually said most women owners damage the near side wheels because they can’t see the kerbs when parking…. hehe
