Golf SV reviews
Discussion
My younger brother had one. It's surprisingly practical. To be honest it felt like a cross between the Tiguan and the Golf that a couple of other family members own.
You sit slightly higher, you can sit 3 in the back comfortably. it was diesel so painfully slow (but that's a personal preference thing). i think it's equivalent to the Ford C-Max.
it's OK but I would just go the whole hog and get a Tiguan.

I ran a high spec 1.4 TSI 150 DSG from new for a year in 2015 - leather, xenons etc. In hindsight I should have gone with a standard Golf because we ended up buying a Transporter within a year and there was too much overlap with the SV to keep it as a runabout.
It was a decent car with a good finish and some practical features, but you have to really appreciate the slightly more compact size and non-SUVness to value it over a Golf estate or Tiguan. They are definitely, definitely not cool either.

They don't look too undesirable tbh and a bit better than the golf plus they did, plus its for the missus so I'll only be picked up in it after a night out lol. Tig boot is too small for what you pay and I've got a Passat so already got an estate.
