I’ve finally found an automatic in my budget range, this is only £900.

Are any of these advisories anything to worry about?

Thanks

You will be spending loads on it to keep it going. £900 purchase is only the start of your spending

It strikes me as a car that has not been looked after even remotely well. All of those are things that should have just been dealt with under normal maintanence.

What sort of mileage are you doing? How long would you want to keep it for?

10,000 a year and it would be for a year maybe two I would have it for.

Depends how much it’s going to cost to keep it going.

I think you're expecting way too much for your money.

I think you'd be better off leasing something new for £100 a month.

Buying bottom of the barrel ste like the stuff you've been looking at needs going in with eyes wide open by someone handy with the spanners, or someone who sees them as disposable.

£900 for 4 months MOT is a lot of money, as you can be almost certain that the owner hasn't sorted any of those Mot issues and will have accrued more issues since then.

Leasing isn’t an option for a lot of people and not appealing to others. I agree with the rest though - with 12 months MOT I’d take the risk - 4 months on a tight budget - no.

In the current climate £900 will get you very little, unfortunately.

If there is a car that can be leased for £100 a month, especially an auto, that's a good shout but I don't think that's possible any more?

None of that looks too bad to me. Wouldn't put me off.

Can you really not find anything better for the money though?

I know that prices are up, but that still feels like a lot of money for that car

The only thing that would put me off is the steering leak, it can either be the pipes or the rack itself, most likely the pipes on a Fiesta. Just remember to wash the fluid off before an MOT, other than that treat it as a disposable car, run it for a year and it will still be worth £300 as spares.

Unfortunately not so far.

I’ve been looking for two weeks but it’s extremely hard, very limited at £1,000, I’d like something tidy and reliable and I know it’s possible if someone has looked after it but with automatics they seem to cost a lot more, otherwise I wouldn’t have any issues if I was looking for a manual as there’s loads out there.

It's not that bad for £900 with a full MOT,maybe borderline with only 5 months.

Half of that is probably just bulbs needing replacing.

Sounds like the wheels are a bit buckled from potholes/kerbs, but it's a fiesta, easy enough to get some used ones.

Seller has just informed me that the work on the list has been done and £400 has been spent on it this year, and has paperwork for it.

You could ask if they're willing to take it for an MOT at your expense.

From the advisories it sounds like it's been driven carelessly. I don't know how you manage to buckle both rear wheels.

A perfect car for £900 you will not find, but I have to say if I was looking for a cheap automatic I'd be going Japanese.
