I am just looking at the possibility of changing the car, early days research.
I keep finding different car dimensions data for the identical vehicle depending on which website I look at.
Many of the selling websites give dimension data as do car reference websites but the figures vary and not just marginally.
The manufacturer's sites don't help much as some of the cars I am looking at are not current models.
Is there a good website out there that gives an accurate dimension measurement ?
I realise that there may be variation according to how/just where the measurements are taken but some should be definitive.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Brian.

I think some of the variation comes from things like whether they include mirrors etc.

If you do a google image search for "car model blueprint" you get drawings with dimensions which might be useful for what you need.

For example "bmw e90 blueprint" gives a bunch of line drawings with dimensions such as this...

Sometimes there are slight inconsistencies between the websites, but since you can see what the measurement refers to it's usually easy enough to work out what is 'correct'.

I've always used this website, it allows you to compare cars and has a lot of other features too:

https://www.automobiledimension.com/car-comparison...

One of the useful things is when you look up a car, it gives you a list of ther cars that are similar sizes.

This website is great for internal dimensions and boot sizes, aimed at wheelchair users but the info is really good. No external dimensions though.
