ULEZ compliant SUV under £10k?
Discussion
Hi all, hope someone can give me ideas on buying a new car. I have a budget of £7k but can stretch to £10k. I'm switching from a 2003 Toyota Rav4 so looking for something similar, needs to be:
SUV type car
ULEZ compliant
Automatic
Under £200 Road tax
Good on fuel, round 40-50MPG average
I currently like the idea of VW Tiguan 14/15 plates but I can barely find an automatic in diesel and from what I've read, the petrol version is very poor on MPG? Is this true
Any other recommendations? Thanks

Yes the petrol powered Tiguans will be giving you 25 - 30 mpg around town. Don't think you get a ULEZ compliant diesel one for only £10k, they are more like £17k+.
This is what £10k will get you
Vauxhall Mokka 1.6 CDTi

They're also ULEZ/CAZ compliant.

The FX uses the same drivetrain as the above but they're £585 tax:

If you go for a high mile QX70 which is the facelift version of the FX then you can go back down to £340 tax:

Does it have to be an SUV?
You could get a Mondeo that ticks all of those boxes, and probably be more spacious and better to drive.
