Visit the local dealer to test drive a demo or a similar used car. Go home.

Then order over phone order a new car; pay deposit over the phone; sign order form remotely; complete finance agreement on-line or transfer full cash payment; sign sales contract remotely; delear delivers to home.

Does this constitute a distance sell even though I initially visited the deatlership?

Distance Sales afford teh buyer greater options in terms of regjecting a car, and I'd like to have that in my pocket should something not workout (within the first 14 days). Dealers know this as obviously don't shout about it - unsurprisingly.

I wonder if I can insist on a distance sales even if I only live 5 miles from the dealer.

Most Dealers / new car sales have a 14 day return guarantee anyway these days Suzuki who i work for shout about it on our new car page.

To answer your question, if you have visited the dealer at some stage then no its not a distance sale
