The other halves Clio has finally got to the point where I can't be bothered to fix it. (Currently has the headliner out as the sunroof seals have given up) It's been cheap motoring as the wife tends to just use to cart the dogs about and pop to the shops, so think it's probably time to put her in something new.

Currently looking at Polos or Clio's up to 12-14k. With 2nd hand prices the way they are at the moment, I did consider a lease for 2 years to see if things stabilise, but after running the numbers in 24 months I would have dropped 5k and have nothing to show for it.

I'm very tempted to just pay cash, even she got bored after 2 years I can't see it dropping 5k in value in the current market if we chose to sell it, espeically with the low milage she does.

Suspect the leasing works better on higher value vehicles, and isn't so applicable on the cheaper models? (I've always bought cars cash, typically 2-3 years old so I may be a bit biased)

They also make more sense if you're only keeping the car for a couple of years to get a 2019 so you can sell it on with two years of warranty left.

Sorry to keep banging on about Pandas, but for dog transport a 4x4 version would be perfect.
