New 4 door saloon daily with a £3k-ish budget

My trusty VW Bora PD130 is starting to show and feel it's age now so looking for replacements.

I do 20k+ miles a year so diesel is a must really as I want the economy and range that comes with it. Auto or manual not arsed which. Been Looking at Passat CC's but not sure what else there is in this price bracket. Anyone got any other suggestions?

'd be looking at something along the lines of a Vauxhall Insignia or a Ford Mondeo, maybe a Mazda 6.
I wouldn't be looking at BMW's Merc's etc at the budget with a view to doing 20k miles a year. looking at Vauxhall or Ford will get you something newer with less miles on for the price and in my experience they will run to decent mileage too with not much fuss, especially if you go manual transmission.

Obviously reliability is a major factor, with this in mind I'd be looking at these.
