G30 5 series

After a bit of advise,

Put down a deposit on a G30 and now I’m starting to have second thoughts.

It’s a December 2018 520d M sport x drive with 28,000 miles for £24,100 through Cazoo. Autotrader had it as £3800 under market value so I got caught up the moment and went for it.

Im concerned the market is going to drop heavily and will be in for a big loss come resale time. I plan to keep the car for the next 3 years.

So do I wait another 6-12 months or go for it now? My old shed is starting to grind on me now!!

I think we have at least another year of this. Manufacturers are also prioritising high profit cars at the minute rather than lower range stuff like JLR are going to build defenders and range rovers over evoque or velars.

I too have been looking at a 5 series but more the 530e and they have come down about 5k in about 5 months now.

If you wait 12months and the prices are still high you’ve wasted a year waiting. They’ll probably drop eventually and if this one is cheap at the moment then you’ve got less to lose. Your gonna lose a shed load of money on a car anyway so why put it off.

I did look at the 530e as well. Surprising there not much more than the 520d/520i which is amazing considering list price they were an extra £8000. I’m just not convinced about owning one outside the manufacturers warranty.

Yeh that's what I thought when looking at all 5ers. Oh if I got one it would 100% be from a mains dealer and I would be taking out the extended warranty no matter what just for the piece of mind on the battery components.

So out of curiosity I put the details in WBAC and there offering me £1500 more than what I’m buying it at!?
