Do I really want to change the V70?

Current car is 2013 V70 D3. It's the best car I've ever owned. Bought 4.5 years ago, now done 140k. In that time it's cost us very little - a couple of sensors and one split pipe to intercooler.
However, there are some bigger bills looming. My work mileage has disappeared due to promotion, a lot more short journeys and down to 12k a year from 20-25k a year. The kids are leaving home and one has thier own car.
I'm looking at a good sized estate that can still lug 4 6' adults and holiday kit, take a 4 bike towbar rack and occasionally 2 open canoes on the roof. It needs to have enough grunt, but possibly petrol and auto.
Obvious candidates are Octavia, 6 or Mondeo, possibly Optima.
We could think about dropping a size, Golf, C'eed, Astra, particularly as cars continue to grow compared to the V70.
Suggestions?

Volvo V70 D5 manual, the post facelift Mk2 (05-07) 
Personally think they are far better looking, less to go wrong, just better in every way to the following generation as you have. Regularly see 200k plus examples.
Though in all seriousness, as much as I want one, I’m in a similar position in looking for a fairly new estate.
One would hope, the big draw being the the added peace of mind in terms of reliability.
Mixed reviews but the new V90/V60?
Did look at a Kia Cee’d 2018 when my dad was looking for a car (he chose a Sportage SUV
). Nice looking a good size, lots of kit, and if I wasn’t needing AWD in my search would consider one. I sound like someone with no interest in cars whatsoever here, but the warranty is a draw with the Kia. At worst it will still have 3/4 years manufacturer warranty left…
Can’t remember the last time I saw the current generation Cee’d Estate on the road either…… far less common than a 320d or Merc or Audi A4
If you like the V70, spend a bit and get a late example from 2016, the D4 engine, replacing the D3 you have in your V70, later on in the production. I believe it is also the same base engine as is in the range now, which is just tuned to various different power outputs?

Hmmm, I hear you about keeping it.
Buuuut, I've not changed any bushings since in got it and mechanic at last service suggests a couple would need doing soon £300, clutch is right at end of travel £1200, and timing belt looms again £550. The before the door look ?£200? or other unexpected issues. So north of £2k...
Or buy a car with half the miles, 3 years newer, probably a petrol which is better suited to the shorter journeys I keep taking...
Or, splash £10k on something i don't know and could still cost a lot....
