Thats good to hear you have one
What are they like to live with on a regular basis ? it will be used mainly at weekend not as my daily car so ignoring the mpg
What is serviceing them like ?
Any major issues than need to be looked out for ?
Having read the inter net at least twice now so many opinions on them especially on the usa pages its hard to make a informed decision with out someone saying bolt on a $9000 supercharger etc
Cheers

Nice car, feels quick for the size, but obviously very thirsty. Sounds great, plenty of options for mods if that's your thing. Interior is nice enough and infotainment is fine, but don't expect a premium feel, these are cheap cars in the US.What are they like to live with on a regular basis ? it will be used mainly at weekend not as my daily car so ignoring the mpg

I would avoid main dealer and find a Hemi specialist for servicing, but that's just me.
Main things to look for are lifters can fail which means new cams. People say regular oil changes and always using sport mode (which disables MDS) helps.
Interior carbon can lift and ripples in the leather dash top, but I think these are more common in hot climate countries.
Tyres and brakes can be expensive as well. Things like shocks are getting hard to find.
They don't make these in RHD anymore. It really feels like it's the last chance to drive something special like this

Are these really ULEZ compliant

I have a car with the same engine (excepting a few differences in the exhaust system). I do all of the servicing myself, mainly because I enjoy doing it and secondarily because I don’t trust dealer service depts to do the job properly. I use Mopar consumables and log/photograph my work to maintain the warranty. The 392 Apache is a very simple unit in terms of routine maintenance. Basically, all it needs is regular oil/filter changes. I have an aftermarket air cleaner, but the OEM filter is good for 30k+ miles unless you’re in the desert. Plugs are good for 100k miles, PCV @ 50k. If yours doesn’t have one, buy an oil catch-can to eliminate smokey cold starts. Before you buy it, make sure it doesn’t have a “hemi-tick” - google it, but if it’s tickin’, give it a wide berth.

Thank you, yes the famous Hemi tick, seem more of an issue on the 5.7 thank the 6.4 but sounds like a generic issue that can be resolved with a new cam and 16 new lifters and maybe a new set of push rods I looked at getting one a couple of years ago. Where down to around 25k for a 2014 without the special packs from main dealers. However every interesting vehicle now seems to have rising hugely in prices.
I read lots on American forums that said they go through transfer cases? Apparently if they have different tyre tread thickness it causes vibrations which chew the clutches in the case, is this the case in the UK or just US high mileage ones? They said you need to always replace all 4 tyres even if only 1 is not usable.

The transmission felt a bit ‘sticky’ on mine when I got it. Changing the transfer case fluid worked wonders. Most main dealers just replace the transfer case, so worth getting a specialist to take a look.romeodelta said:

I think you have this the wrong way around. Having the MDS system engaged adds lifter/cam lubrication, which protects against this (albeit, quite rare) phenomenon. The same abnormality is evidenced in manual transmission cars, which don't have MDS.[/footnote]
OP is correct, this has been way more of an issue in Eagle (5.7) hemi, than in the 6.4
